摘要 <p>The appts. to bond the fibres in a web by interlocking them in a hydrodynamic action, without a bonding agent, has a continuous belt (3) working with a second continuous belt (9) where their working levels (3',9') face each other and move in the same direction. The two belt levels (3',9') form a tapering wedge shape between them, so that the fibre web (7) carried by the first belt (3) is steadily compressed as the second belt (9) bears increasingly against it. The second continuous belt (9) is pressed against the deflection roller (2) for the first belt (3) by two rollers (11,12), to increase the pressure of the two belts (3,9) as they pass round the roller (2). The jet beam (14), to saturate the fibre web (7) between the belts (3,9), is between the two pressure rollers (11,12). Preferably the first continuous belt (3) can be pressed by two rollers against its deflection roller, to increase the pressure of the two belts (3,9) passing round the deflection roller with the web between them. The belt pressure rollers (11,12) are as close together as possible while leaving space for the jet beam (14) between them, directly at the deflection roller (2) for the first or second continuous belts (3,9). The belt deflection roller (2) is a needle drum, as a sieve roller permeable to fluid, with a larger dia. than the other rollers (5,10-12) in the assembly. The incoming zone of the deflection roller (2) is covered by one of the continuous belts (3,9), with at least one jet beam (115,16) to give a water needle action. The second pressure roller (12), for the second belt (9), acts as a web transfer roller.</p>
