Skin cleansing composition

A skin cleansing composition in the form of an emulsion comprises by weight of the total composition:

(a) an oil phase incorporating:

(i) 5% to 30% by weight of a liquid di-alkyl ester of a dibasic carboxylic acid or a mixture of such esters, and

(ii) 1 to 10% by weight of a hydrocarbon solvent such as limonene; and

(b) a water phase incorporating

(i) 2 to 40% by weight of a water soluble emulsifying system stabilising the emulsion, and

(ii) 15 to 70% by weight of water.
