PURPOSE: An air conditioner evaporator is provided to achieve an improved productivity and cooling performance and reduce cost by improving configuration of heat transfer area and refrigerant flow channel. CONSTITUTION: An evaporator comprises a tube(11) having a plurality of U-shaped pipes(12) arranged in parallel and a return band(14) for connecting each corresponding end of the U-shaped pipe; a plurality of heat transfer fins(16) coupled to be orthogonal to the outer surface of the tube so as to promote heat transfer operation of the refrigerant; and a fixing plate(17) supporting heat transfer fins. An end of the U-shaped pipe of the tube is removed and connected to each other through a return band(14). A support(20) with a cylindrical body is inserted into a coupling slot(16a) corresponding to the fixing plate and the heat transfer fin, and fixed so that the length of refrigerant flow channel of the tube is adjustable.
