PURPOSE: A kick down brake controller is provided to prevent an early fixing control of the kick down brake by outputting signals of a different state when conditions of kick down switch and operation of the kick down brake are fail. CONSTITUTION: An outputted signal is different while a kick down brake operates or not and a terminal is disconnected. If the terminal is disconnected, kick down switch(1) prevents malfunction deciding to operate the kick down brake while a shift control signal is outputted to operate the kick down brake. A shift control unit(2) decides the operating state of the kick down brake by the signal outputted form the kick down switch to control. The kick down switch is grounded, and then, changes a connecting state according to the operating state of the kick down brake. If the kick down brake operates, the kick down switch is turned on to flow voltage of 0V. On the contrary, if the kick down brake is not operated or disconnected, the kick down switch maintains an off state to output voltage of 12V.
