APPARATUS FOR CONTEROLLING ILLUMINATION IN TAB SYSTEM

PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling illumination in a TAB(Tape Automated Bonding) system is provided to accurately recognize a mark of an LCD by controlling illumination, thereby effectively managing man power and enhancing the precision of working. CONSTITUTION: A D/A converter(13) outputs an analog voltage corresponding to an input illumination control signal. An illuminator(11) generates illumination corresponding to the input analog voltage. A CCD(12) takes an image pickup of an LCD(10) under the illumination due to the illuminator. An image processor(14) processes the image photographed by the CCD(12) to generate brightness signal of respective pixels. A controller(15) generates sequentially illumination control signals from a lowest level to a highest level, and processes the brightness signals so that the brightness difference between adjacent pixels becomes maximized.
