FAX AUTOMATIC CONNECTING METHOD OF VOICE MAIL SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for automatically switching a voice mail system connected to a private exchange system to a facsimile machine is to connect the voice mail system to the VMS through an input of a calling tone. CONSTITUTION: An external or internal user of a facsimile machine connects to a post office box of a voice mail system(VMS)(301). A facsimile number or a facsimile transmission button is inputted or pushed according to a guidance message(302). If the user inputs the facsimile number, the voice mail system is connected to the facsimile machine(304). If the facsimile transmission button is pushed, a calling tone is detected(305) and the voice mail system is automatically switched to the facsimile machine connected to the private exchange system(306). If the facsimile machine is in a busy state, the voice mail system is automatically switched to other facsimile machine connected to the private exchange system.
