PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a low-cost and reliable control device for a single-phase motor. SOLUTION: A device is provided with a switching circuit 3, that is connected between an AC power supply 1 and single-phase motor 2, so that switching in positive and negative directions can be made at a higher frequency than a power supply frequency, a flywheel circuit 4 that is connected between the terminals of the single-phase motor 2 so that fly wheeling in the positive and negative directions can be made, an oscillation circuit 6 for generating a pulse signal to be inputted to the switching elements 9 and 10 of the switching circuit 3, and a flywheel switching circuit 8 for controlling the switching element of the flywheel circuit 4, based on an AC power supply voltage. In this case, the switching circuit 3 is controlled by the oscillation circuit 6. |
