PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the incursion of dusts into the device main body of a disk driving device. SOLUTION: A dust guard mechanism is composed of a dust guard panel 291, a dust guard arm 291 and a dust guard plate 294, which are respectively arranged in positions opposite the main surface, the bottom surface and both side faces of a first or second disk cartridge 22 fixed in a loading position to prevent the incursion of dusts from a cartridge insertion port 110 into the device main body, and this mechanism is fixed to a disk driving device 100. The second disk cartridge 22 is provided with a cartridge main body 28 having a detecting hole 33 for detecting a second disk housed inside by inserting the detection switch 350 of the disk driving device 100 side. The detecting hole 33 is formed, at the state that one end thereof in a depth direction is closed, to have a depth so as to prevent the abutting of the operator 351 of the detection switch 350.
