LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a liquid crystal display device uniform in electrooptic characteristics by stably forming the axial symmetry orientation in whole pixel region. SOLUTION: In ASM display mode liquid crystal display device in which n-type liquid crystal material having a negative dielectric coefficient and a vertical orientation film are used. When a mixture containing the liquid crystal material and a polymerizable material is poured, pouring time is shortened or pouring speed is enhanced so as to suppress the change in the composition ratio of the materials and to adjust the voltage response time differenceΔτof the liquid crystal material in the whole pixel region to be in the range expressed by the formula, 0 msec<Δτ<20 msec.
