PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the operability of a scrolling to satisfy the objective of a user by displaying the scroll object during a scrolling and letting him to select the object. SOLUTION: A scroll object is specified by a scroll object specifying means 2. A scroll direction is specified by a scroll direction specifying means 1. Then, a display region, that is to be displayed on a map displaying means 6, is determined. Then, vector information on map data is obtained from a map data storage means 3 by a map data vector information obtaining means 13 and the information is displayed on the means 6. Then, the vector information, which is a scroll object, is specified by the means 2, an initial display region is determined, the map data of the region are read by a map data reading means 5 and the data are transmitted to the means 6. Then, a scroll information obtaining means 41 discriminates a scroll region, a next display region is determined so that the vector information on the scroll object is positioned at an arbitrary reference point, the map data of the next display region are read and transmitted to the means 6. |
