PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic vending machine equipped with a disaster countermeasuring function for offering commodities (beverage and food) stored in this device to victims in a disaster-stricken area free of charge in an emergency situation that a large scale disaster occurs and a life line is also stopped. SOLUTION: This is an automatic vending machine equipped with an outer door 2 with a door device on the front face of a cabinet 1 in which storage commodity housing racks 4 are loaded. A door lock device provided at the outer door is constituted as an automatic lock device 16 so that the outer door can be locked at a close position at the time of the power supply of a commercial power source in emergency, and that the lock can be released at the time of the stop of the commercial power source. In emergency that a disaster occurs in the located area of the automatic vending machine, and a life line is also stopped, the lock of the outer door can be automatically released, and the commodities can be freely taken out of the device after the outer door is opened. The automatic lock device is constituted of a hook 16a provided at the cabinet, slider 16b with a hooking hole, and solenoid 16c for pushing up the slider to the lock position at the time of power supply, and the contact of a key switch which is turned on/off according to the locking and unlocking of the main lock of the outer door is connected between the solenoid and a commercial power source 19.
