PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a VOD device that reproduces video and audio data without a sense of incongruity in various kinds of applications. SOLUTION: In the video on-demand device 8 that uses an ISDN line at comparatively lower speed and stores/reproduces video audio data employing coding by the H.261 or the like, menu information selected at reproduction is detected, a delay level in response to the menu information is selected, delay in audio reproduction is executed based thereon or a voice delay level is added in advance to part of the menu information attended with the video audio data at storage of the video audio data, the delay level is detected at reproduction of the video audio data and the reproduction delay is executed based thereon. |
