PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LCD unit, which enables respective members to be fixed tightly without reducing the effective area on a printed board, when the respective members are assembled and united by assembling an LCD holder on the printed board after the printed board, which has an EL plate and an LCD stacked in order, is assembled in a battery case. SOLUTION: This LCD unit is equipped with a printed board 1, a battery case 2 which has on its flank a groove 3 with which an end edge of the printed board 1 is engaged, two electrode terminals 4 and 5 fitted in the battery case 2, and a fitting structure which engages an LCD holder 8 with the printed board 1, while the LCD holder 8 is fitted onto an EL plate 6 and an LCD 7 stacked in order on the printed board. An engagement projection 21 projected on the side end surface of the LCD holder 8 is fitted in an engaged recessed part 20 provided to a battery holder, so that the engagement projection of the LCD holder 8 is held by the engaged recessed part of the battery case 2.
