PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an equipment and a method for mounting electronic components having a recognition means for correctly recognizing electronic components. SOLUTION: A transfer head 2 has a light-accumulating member 4. In a light-accumulating stage B, the light accumulation member 4 is irradiated with light from a light source 11 to accumulate light in the light-accumulating member 4. Then, the transfer head 2 moves to an electronic component recognition stage C. In this stage, an electronic component held at the lower end part of a nozzle 3 is recognized by a camera 12 installed below. At that time, since the light-accumulating member 4 shines bright with uniform brightness, an electronic component P can be recognized clearly as a black silhouette in a bright background. |
