<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retrieve a map at a high speed without being restricted by the reading access speed of a DVD-ROM or the like at the time of displaying a map for a required position by scrolling maps and to display the map for the required position. SOLUTION: Whether scrolling is executed at a high speed or not is discriminated (S1), and at the time of high speed scrolling, a pointer is displayed on a screen (S2), an output of a joy stick is switched to the pointer so as to move it (S3), and a destination display part is formed on the screen (S4). Then destinations to be displayed on the destination display part are retrieved (S5), the retrieved destinations are displayed on the destination display part (S6) and the destination display part is turned to an input enabled picture (S7). When a destination required to be displayed out of the displayed destinations is selected and an input key is clicked by the pointer on the display part (S8), a representative map for the destination is displayed (S9).</p> |
