PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing lens barrel that operation confirmation and the collapse of a lens are executed by a single lens without being attached to a camera body. SOLUTION: An interchangeable lens 2 freely attachable and detachable to/from the camera body 1 possesses a TELE SW(tele-switch) 4, a WIDE SW (wide switch) 5 or the like which are manually operated by a photographer. Then, a first operation function is executed when the TELE SW 4, the WIDE SW 5 and the like are operated in a state where the interchangeable lens 2 is attached to the camera body 1. Also, a second operation function that is different from the first operation function is executed when the TELE SW 4, the WIDE SW 5 and the like are operated in the state where the interchangeable lens 2 is not attached to the camera body 1.
