PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease range finding errors by starting the light projection from a light projecting means regardless of the measurement results of an integrating means after lapse of the specified time from the output end of the comparison result signal from the means. SOLUTION: An arithmetic circuit 14 receives the input of a near side signal I1 outputted from a first signal processing circuit 11 and a far side signal I2 outputted from a second signal processing circuit 12 and operates an output ratio (I1/(I1+I2)). An integral circuit 15 receive the input of the output ratio signal and integrates the output ratios many times together with an integrating capacitor 6 connected to the CINT terminal of an AFIC(autofocusing IC), thereby improving S/N. The integrated output ratio is outputted as an AF signal from the SOUT terminal of the AFIC 10. A CPU 1 receives the input of the AF signal outputted from the AFIC 10, converts the AF signal to a distance signal by executing prescribed computation and delivers the distance signal to a lens drive circuit 7. |
