PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a silver halide photographic sensitive material having high image quality and low fog even after preservation at a high temperature in the raw state by incorporating a specified water-soluble compound into one blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer. SOLUTION: The silver halide photographic sensitive material has photographic constituent layers including one blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, one green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and one red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer on the substrate. The total amount of gelatin contained in the photographic constituent layers on the emulsion layer coated side of the substrate is 4.0-7.2 g/m2. The total amount of oil-soluble photographic components contained in the blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer is 0.40-0.90 g/m2 and a water-soluble compound of the formula is contained in the blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer by 5×10-4-2×10-2 mol per 1 mol silver. In the formula, Ar is phenyl, naphthyl or cyclohexyl, R1 is H, an alkyl, alkoxy or the like substitutable on Ar and M is an alkali metal or ammonium.
