PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent confinement of a recording medium within a device and to improve convenience by forcedly discharging the recording medium in the outside of the device when a residual capacity of a battery is detected and the detected residual capacity does not satisfy the normal value. SOLUTION: A detected voltage is read from a power source voltage detecting circuit 7 and the existence of an optical card 1 within a drive 50 is discriminated with a MPU: 62. When the card 1 exists within the drive 50, whether the detected voltage exceeds the normal value of a card forcedly discharging voltage or not is decided. When the detected voltage does not satisfy the normal value, a card transporting motor 51 is controlled to forcedly discharge the optical card 1 from the drive 50. When the card 1 does not exist within the drive 50, whether the detected voltage exceeds the normal value of a card insertion inhibiting voltage or not is discriminated. When the detected voltage does not exceed the normal value, the operation of the card transporting motor 51 is inhibited to stop a function for inserting the optical card 1 into the drive 50. Unless the voltage of a battery 6 satisfies the normal value, the insertion of the optical card 1 is inhibited. |
