PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the manufacturing method of a surface mounted crystal vibrator for reducing manufacture man-hour and hardly changing frequency characteristics by temperature change. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method, when two electrodes 4b and 5b for connection are formed on the surface of a base 2, a back surface electrode 6 for crystal piece drive connected to the electrode 5b for the connection is formed on the surface of the base 2. Then, a crystal piece 7 is arranged on the backside electrode 6 for the crystal piece driven formed on the surface of the base 2, a conductive adhesive material is applied between the surface of the crystal piece 7 and the electrode 4b for the connection and a conductive part 9 for the connection is formed. Thereafter, a surface electrode 10 for the crystal piece drive is formed by vapor deposition so as to be electrically connected with the conductive part 9 for the connection on the surface of the crystal piece 7. In the process of the work of forming the surface electrode 10 for the crystal piece drive, a vibration frequency is measured and the work of forming the surface electrode 10 for the crystal piece drive is ended in a state of obtaining a desired vibration frequency.
