PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wrapping material for a battery case that is so excellent in cold workability as to be capable of being shaped into a sharp form, also excellent in strength, and never whitened or eroded even if an electrolyte or the like adheres to it. SOLUTION: This wrapping material for a battery case having a total wrapping material thickness of 150μm or less is formed by laminating, on the outermost side of one surface of aluminum foil, an oriented film having, on its front side, a coating layer that is formed of a material such as polyvinylidene chloride, a vinylidene chloride-vinyl chloride copolymer, maleic anhydride modified polypropylene, a polyester resin, an epoxy resin, a phenol resin, a fluororesin, cellulose ester, an urethan resin and an acrylic resin and is durable against an electrolyte containing a chlorine or fluorine containing lithium salt, and by laminating, on the outermost side of the other surface of the aluminum foil, a film of polypropylene, maleic acid modified polypropylene, an ethylene- acrylate copolymer or an ionomer resin. |
