Several artificial trigger signals are produced and used to obtain and assign a measure of random coincidences for coincidence data. Independent claims are included for a method for using a gamma camera system including the correction method, a gamma camera imaging system, a nuclear imaging system and a method for obtaining a measure of random coincidences.</p>
