The invention concerns a method for making a tyre whereof the beads are not provided with anchoring bead cores but are reinforced with layered complexes of reinforcing elements with small angles, complexes around which is anchored by winding the radial body reinforcement ply. Said method is characterised in that each complex is produced independently of the body reinforcement ply blank, the making of said complex consisting in using at least an unwrought ply of reinforcing elements oriented at an angle higher than the angle to be obtained after vulcanisation, in pre-stretching said ply before forming a two-layered sleeve, whereof the characteristics of pitch, angle and width are obtained by pantographic effect when stretched a second time.
