<p>The invention concerns an engine transmission unit for a motor vehicle comprising an internal combustion engine and an electric machine, wherein, for certain running states of the internal combustion engines, the latter is powered with a so-called lean air/fuel mixture wherein air exceeds fuel, and wherein the internal combustion engine includes an exhaust circuit provided with a device for storing nitrogen oxide molecules present in the exhaust gases. The invention is characterised in that for certain running states of the engine transmission unit, the operating mode of the electric machine is determined by a unit controlling the engine transmission unit so as to maintain a temperature of the exhaust gases in the device storing the nitrogen oxide molecules within a specific temperature range.</p> |
