A disc brake 100 comprises discs 12, 14 rotatable with, and axially slidable on, hub 16 which is arranged to rotate about an axis 18 thereof. Mounting portion 16d of the hub has openings 60 through which air can flow over the discs. Vanes 62 act to force air through the openings and also act as pulse creators for a magnetic sensor 68 of an anti-lock braking control system.
