PURPOSE: An aqueous insulin preparation comprising human insulin, an analog or derivative thereof is provided which improves chemical stability thereof. CONSTITUTION: An insulin preparation having superior chemical stability is prepared in the presence of glycerol and/or mannitol, and low concentration in particular, 5-100 mM, preferably, 5-40 mM of halogenide. Especially, in low concentration of halogenide, its physical stability can't not be denatured. Wherein, halogenide is preferably, alkaly, or alkalyto compounds and more preferably, chlorides such as sodium chloride. The concentration of glycerol and/or mannitol is 100-250 mM, more desirably, 140-250 mM and most desirably, 160-200 mM. Optionally, the preparation comprises phosphoric acid and citric acid and formulated for non oral administration.
