SESSION AND RESOURCE OPERATOR IN VIDEO ON DEMAND AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A session and resource operator in video on demand and operating method thereof is provided to off SRM(Session & Resource Manager) connecting to a VOD sever system which consists of several VOD severs costed at a low price. CONSTITUTION: A session managing unit judges an accuracy of a UN Config request message of a client provided through a network managing unit(400). The session managing unit informs the accuracy of the UN Config request message when the UN Config request message is accurate, and a node adjusting unit detects a basic VOD server address among a plurality of VOD servers(402). The node adjusting unit judges a providing of a service according to a request of a client of the detected VOD server address(402). The session managing unit transmits an address of a VOD server capable of receiving a service according to a client request and a UN Config identifying message to the network managing unit, and the network managing unit the transmitted address and the UN Config identifying message to a client through an ATM switch(407).
