PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To show a driver a recommended route to a parking position by use of a simple constitution. SOLUTION: When a vehicle is stopped near a parking section and the vehicle driver inputs the will to park the vehicle from an input switch 10, a locus computing part 16 regards as a parking position a position that is in a predetermined relationship to the position of the vehicle, and computes a recommended route to the parking position. The steering angle data needed to run along the recommended route obtained are fed to a control part 18 and given in the form of voice from a speaker 20. Since the position in the predetermined relationship is univocally regarded as the parking position, the necessity of an on-boad camera for recognizing the parking section is eliminated.
