PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely fix and position the head part of a subject to be examined and to exert effect on magnetic field distribution in an apparatus even for inspection by an MRI apparatus. SOLUTION: This tool 10 for fixing the head part is constituted of a non-metallic mat 12 mounted on a head part placing part H for a CT scan apparatus and an MRI apparatus, a non-metallic forehead part fixing means 14 for supporting the forehead of the subject and a non-metallic jaw part fixing means 16 for supporting the jaw part of the subject. In addition, a pad made of a urethane foam is respectively provided on the bottom part of the mat 12, a forehead contacting part of the forehead fixing means 14 and a jaw contacting part of the jaw part fixing means 16.
