PURPOSE: A feed operation detecting circuit of an optical disk driver is provided to control a feed operation of an optical pickup deck mechanism exactly and rapidly by providing information detecting a feed operation state to a feed servo. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of hole sensors(41,42) are installed opposed to a plurality of magnets which are mounted at a rotation body of a feed actuator. A flux generated from the magnets is detected, and a stream of pulses having phase differences proportional to the detection amount are generated. A feed direction detecting part, a feed speed detecting part, and a feed distance detecting part use the stream of pulses from the hole sensors to generate feed direction, feed speed and feed distance signals for detecting a feed direction, a feed speed and a feed distance of an optical pickup deck mechanism(30) so as to detect a feed operation(direction, movement speed, distance) of the deck mechanism exactly.
