PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an oriented film having good antibacterial properties by incorporating a crystalline polypropylene having a specified isotactic pentad fraction with a particulate antibacterial agent in a specified ratio. SOLUTION: This film is one made from 100 pts.wt. crystalline polypropylene having an isotactic pentad fraction of 0.97 or above and 0.1-5 pts.wt. particulate antibacterial agent. The crystalline polypropylene is a propylene homopolymer or a propylene/ethylene random copolymer having an ethylene unit content of 1 mol% or below, desirably, 0.5 mol% or below. The particulate antibacterial agent is one composed of inorganic compound particles physically carrying or containing silver, copper, zinc, tin, or the like or a compound thereof, especially desirably, silver in the form of a simple substance or a compound. It is desirable that the means particle diameter of the particulate antibacterial agent used is 0.05-10μm, and is at most 1/2, desirably, at most 1/4 or the thickness of the objective film. It is also desirable that the particulate agent is used in combination with a spherical antiblocking agent having a mean particle diameter larger than that of the antibacterial agent.
