PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance driving efficiency by constituting an active part expanding/ contracting upon application of a voltage depending on presence/absence of an inner electrode, and an inactive part causing no expansion/contraction such that the inactive part is present only at one end of a driver. SOLUTION: The multiplayer piezoelectric driver 21 comprises a laminate of a piezoelectric layer 22 of lead titanate zirconate, an inner electrode 23 of silver.palladium, and an inner electrode 24. An inactive part (b) for ensuring an outer electrode is arranged only on one end side of such a driver 21 and an active part (a) is formed up to the other end thus forming outer electrodes 25, 26 on same end face. At a part where the inner electrodes 23, 24 are not overlapped when the driver 21 is projected in the expanding/contracting direction, the piezoelectric layer 22 does not expand nor contract even if a potential is applied between the inner electrodes 23, 24 and acts as the inactive part (b) of the driver 21 thus enhancing the driving efficiency of other part, i.e., the active part (a). |
