<p>PURPOSE: An electromagnetic radiation transmitter and reflector device, an apparatus and a method using the device is provided to design an optimized structure for improving the energy efficiency of transmittance and reflection. CONSTITUTION: A device includes a straight transparent quartz tube(2) with an end-to-end bore(3) extending along an axis(4) for retaining a pressurized ionizing gas and defining the cross-section of the radiation transmitter beam, as well as a surface(7) for reflecting the transmitted radiation. The surface comprises two longitudinal side wings(14) being symmetrical in relation to an axial plane of the bore. The reflective portion is at least partially secured to the tube.</p> |
