PURPOSE: A method is provided for controlling a radar oscillator for use in the traffic field, in particular for a car radar, for generating a linear frequency sweep. CONSTITUTION: An arrangement for controlling an oscillator can be used to the rada of FM/CW,and uses at least two phases locked liberalization loop. One of phases locked oscillator loop generates a linear frequency sweep controlling a phase locked oscillator loop, which has a considerably broader bandwidth than the liberalization loop, and to draw up.
