PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To completely clean and sterilize a broiler, or the like, having a great number of pores on the surface into the interior of the pores on the surface by prewashing the boiler, or the like, and subjecting the prewashed broiler, or the like, to ultrasonic cleaning by a specified method. SOLUTION: A broiler, or the like, are prewashed with pressurized cleaning water during automatic transportation to remove foreign matters attached to the external part of the boiler, or the like. The prewashed broiler, or the like, are held in an ultrasonic cleaning tank 1 and subjected to ultrasonic cleaning with sterilizing cleaning water during floating and moving. In the operation, the sterilizing cleaning water is preferably water having sterilizing action on active water, acidic water or salt water at 25-40 deg.C. The apparatus for cleaning a broiler, or the like, comprises the cleaning tank 1 which is equipped with a supply means for sterilizing cleaning water at one side of the cleaning tank 1 and with a drain means at the other side. The cleaning tank is provided with an ultrasonic generator. A means for forming sterilizing cleaning water can be connected to the supply means. |
