PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and stably obtain the skating rink optimum for the curling competition and the ice skating by placing the non-woven fabric comprising lines, patterns characters or the like necessary for the competion on a leveled base with gravel earth and sand or the like, sprinkling the water onto the same, and freezing the same by the natural cold. SOLUTION: The concrete is applied onto the ground surface capable of forming a skating rink to be used as a base 2. The base 2 can be also prepared by leveling the gravel, earth and sand or the like in flat. A dry non-woven fabric 1 of polypropylene is placed on the base 2, and fixed by the anchor pins. A center line is drawn with color on the surface of the non-woven fabric 1, and a house mat 5 made of the non-woven fabric of same quality is placed. The house mat 5 is a circular sheet, and an aim of a concentric cycle is drawn with color. Further the foggy water is sprinkled on the non-woven fabric 1, and primarily frozen. Then the water sprinkling and freezing are repeated several times to cover the whole surface of the non-woven fabric 1 and the mat 5, whereby the ice 3 of flat surface is formed.
