PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water temperature controller for a sanitary washing device which can supply wash water of appropriate temperature to a nozzle device from the start of private parts washing. SOLUTION: A controller 7a for controlling the transmission of electricity to a heater 3a by comparing the temperature detected by a sensor 3b with a set temperature has a first heat retention mode in which wash water is heated to a set temperature for a heat retention period and a second heat retention mode in which the wash water heated to the set temperature for the heat retention period is heated to the former set temperature. The heat retention modes are switched from one to the other at a predetermined switching point whenever necessary to heat the wash water.
