PURPOSE: A method to produce artificial hair which improves heat stability of fused resin, viscosity, winding property, flatteness and thickness control of yarn, and production yield by 30-50% as high speed winding becomes possible is provided, thus produced hair is lighter than conventional artificial hair by 28%, so that it causes cost-saving effect and also has improved soft feeling and gloss. CONSTITUTION: An artificial hair is made by adding, in hundred parts per weight of a complex PVC resin, 10-30pts.wt of chlorinated PVC resin(C-PVC) and 1-10pts.wt. of acryl resin to 100pts.wt. of the complex PVC resin which is comprised of 50-80wt% of PVC resin having 900-1200 degree of polymerization and 20-50wt% of PVC resin having 700-850 degree of polymerization, mixing it properly, then adding 2-20pts.wt. of a heat stabilizer comprised of butyl tin malate ester, butyl tin mercaptide, and butyl tin laurate, and 2-12pts.wt. of an anti additive to the mixture and mixing it again, pelletizing the composition with an extruder, and melt-spinning the pellets using a nozzle having a cross sectional shape of C, or a figure of 90° rotated 8. The produced artificial hair provides soft and smooth feeling just like natural hair, and has light weight and improved gloss.
