PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably prevent a reverse flow of water to an engine. SOLUTION: A jet propulsion machine 11 is arranged at an inner rear part of a boat, an engine is arranged in the front position of the jet propulsion machine 11, and the end parts situated downstream from the exhaust pipes 24 and 28 of the engine are opened to the outside of the boat in the vicinity of a pump room 8 to contain at least a part of the jet propulsion machine 11. In such a small planing boat, an exhaust silencer 20 is arranged at the exhaust pipe, and a reverse flow preventing box 27 is arranged at the exhaust pipe 24 situated downstream from the exhaust silencer 20 and in a position above a draft line L1 when no screw rides on the hull.
