PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil in water (O/W) type emulsion ink for a mimeograph, having less viscosity change with the lapse of time and always affording a stable printed material. SOLUTION: This emulsion ink for a mimeograph is obtained by containing a resin component having a free carboxylic acid group or a higher fatty acid in its oil phase and also containing a di- or trivalent metal salt and a monovalent metal salt showing an alkalinity in its aqueous phase to reinforce and stabilize the interfacial layer of the emulsion. As the resin composition, an alkyd resin, a rosin-modified phenol resin, a maleic acid resin or a rosin are preferable. The monovalent metal salt and di- or trivalent metal salts are preferably added by the same as or more than the number of moles of resin component and the higher fatty acid. Usually, the resin component or the higher fatty acid is added by 0.5-30 wt.% based on the total amount of the emulsion ink.
|
