PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the reduction of a frictional coefficient due to adhesion of paper dust or the like so as to stably feed paper by arranging a plurality of recess type grooves on the outer circumferential face of a member along the rotating direction substantially. SOLUTION: This member is constructed of a ring type member 4 having a shaft 3 and an elastic layer 2 arranged in the outer circumference of the ring type member 4, and in the elastic layer 2, a plurality of recess type grooves 6 are arranged on the surface along the rotating direction substantially. Usually, the direction, which is the rotating direction of the member substantially, can be properly selected within a range of±7 deg. to the rotating direction. For sufficiently exhibiting this effect, in each of the recess type grooves, the width is 0.05-2 mm and is 0.1-1 mm desirably, the depth is 0.2-2 mm and is 0.5-1.5 mm desirably, and a distance between the adjacent recess type grooves is 0.1-5 mm and is 0.5-2 mm desirably. The above width of the recess type groove means the width in the upper end part of the recess type groove.
