COMPOSTING OF BOTH GARBAGE AND ORGANIC MATTER RESIDUE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform composting of both garbage and organic residue by associating garbage composting with organic residue one. SOLUTION: The method comprises (1) moisture-adjusting treatment and primary fermentation by stirring garbage G with a screw feeder while collecting garbage G into fermenting treatment chamber 6c of a collecting vehicle 1 exclusively for garbage; (2) continuing the primary fermentation in the chamber 6c by stirring garbage G with a screw feeder still after finishing the recovery operation with the vehicle 1 and returning to a base X; (3) transferring ca. 1/10-ca. 1/2 fermented garbage G from the chamber 6c into a fermenting rotary drum 61 in the base X next morning and leaving the rest of fermented garbage G in the chamber 6c for the preparation for collecting operation in this morning and for the purpose of its utilization as a bed material 41 for collecting operation in this morning; and (4) kneading organic residue Y along with the primarily fermented garbage G in the drum 61 to efficiently perform fermentation and composting.
