PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize suction force necessary for sucking a sheet for a paper sheet feeding device of an air suction type. SOLUTION: This paper feeding device is equipped with a stacking means 56 for sheet loading, a suction means 2 for sucking sheets P stacked on the stacking means 56, sheet displacement means 9 and 39 for moving the stacking means 56 and causing sheets P to near and part from the suction means 2, and a sheet travel means 10 for moving the suction means 2 and further moving sheets 3 sucked to the suction means 2 in a transfer direction.
