PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and inexpensively produce a volatile component slow releasing body without requiring many stages by housing a base material on which a volatile component is deposited into a bag formed of a sheet containing active carbon. SOLUTION: The body heat is transferred to the volatile component slow releasing body 1 to vaporize the vegetable essential oil 19 impregnated between grains 21 of sodium sulfate. The vaporized vegetable essential oil fills the inside of the bag of the sheet 3 consisting of the active carbon fibers and is dissipated outside by passing among the active carbon fibers. At this time, part of the vaporized vegetable essential oil 19 is adsorbed by the adsorption capability of the active carbon fibers. When the active carbon fibers keep adsorbing the vegetable essential oil component, the adsorption and desorption of the vegetable essential oil component are simultaneously effected on the surfaces of the active carbon fibers and an equilibrium state is attained. Such vaporized vegetable essential oil is limited in the amount of the oil diffused outside a time by the presence of the active carbon fibers and, therefore, the rate of the diffusion outside may be delayed. Then, the nearly constant amount. of the vegetable essential oil component may gradually be diffused for a long time.
