PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an image forming optical system to be separated and stuck again with respect to an optical housing by precise positioning without damaging or deforming a reference surface. SOLUTION: By engaging a projection 51 formed at an image forming lens 5 with a guide groove 21 formed at the reference surface member 2 arranged at the optical housing 1 side, the position of the lens 5 in the longitudinal direction A is set. By making ribs 52a and 52b formed at the lens 5 abut on projections 4a and 4b formed at the housing 1 side, the fitting position of the lens 5 in the center axis direction B is decided. At this time, the lens 5 in the height direction is positioned based on the height of the upper surface of the surface member 2. Then the lens 5 is stuck and fixed to one set of adhesive surface members properly selected from the adhesive surface members 3a1, 3b1, 3c1, 3a2, 3b2 and 3c2 projectingly arranged at the housing 1, for example, the adhesive surface members 3a1 and 3a2 on a condition that it is positioned.
