PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a precise position coordinate without being affected by the height of refuse. SOLUTION: An infrared camera 4 detects an infrared ray radiated from a refuse pit 1 and converts it into a thermal picture signal showing the temperature distribution of the pit 1. A computer 5 converts the thermal picture signal outputted from the infrared camera 4 into a video signal and it is outputted to a display device 6. At that time the computer 5 calculates height information on refuse accumulated in the refused pit 1 and correct a thermal picture based on the height information.
