PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting type picture display device which does not stress a users face, provides a pleasant feeling of mounting, and is easy to mount and dismount and also surely mounted, and is, further, capable of being changed in an observing eye corresponding to an effective eye of the user. SOLUTION: A mounting type picture display part device, wherein it is provided with a video display 1 having a video display element for displaying a video and a magnifying optical system for magnifying the video and displaying it to a user, sound reproducing elements 4 for reproducing sound, and a supporting frame 2 for locating the video display part in front of the eye of the user, is provided with an ear holding mechanism 5 for holding the video display part 1, the sound reproducing elements 4, and the supporting frame 2 at predetermined positions to the user's head by holding them on the ears of the user from the vertical direction.
