<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electrostatic latent image developing toner capable of maintaining good stability of a charged state and good image characteristics over a long period of time even when the ambient environment varies. SOLUTION: The toner is produced by adopting a wet granulation method and consists essentially of a binder resin and a colorant. The volume-surface meandiameter D of the toner calculated by equation I is 1-10μm, the shape factor S calculated by equation II is 100-130 and the constant A calculated by equation III is 0-2. In the equation I, ni and Di are the number and diameter (characteristic particle diameter) of particles, respectively, in each particle diameter division of the number-base particle diameter distribution. In the equation II, the periphery and area are the periphery and area of the projected image of each toner particle, respectively. In the equation III, SB is BET specific surface area and SW is defined by equation IV, whereinρis the specific gravity of the toner and D and S are the volume-surface meandiameter D and the shape factor S, respectively.</p> |
