PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analyzing method capable of calculating the complexity of three-dimensional(3D) shape data. SOLUTION: In a step ST11, the shape data of alignment object is read. Next, in a step ST12, a 2D feature image expressing the features of 3D shape near arbitrary points, namely, candidate points on the surface of 3D shape to become the alignment object is prepared. Next, in a step ST13, the complexity index on the surface of 3D shape to become the alignment object is calculated from the feature image and the complexity of the feature image is digitized.
