PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable communication equipment that has a function of stopping only an incoming call notice operation while keeping an incoming call state. SOLUTION: Upon the receipt of an incoming call, a control section of the portable telephone set conducts display of the arrival of an incoming call and an incoming call arrival notice by a sounder (S1). In the case that a quick silent function is activated after that (YES in S2), it is discriminated that a silent key is depressed at a point of time when any of a plurality of prescribed keys except a start key is depressed (S3), and the notice operation of an incoming call tone by the sounder is stopped while keeping the reception of the incoming call (S6). In this case, a call tone sounds at other party. When a reply key is depressed after that (YES in S7), the display of the arrival of the incoming call is stopped (S8) and a speech state is brought (S9).
